What kind of wind speeds did you have? That looks terrible! I'm glad that (apparently) nobody was hurt.
80 mph.
Actually the NWS reported that the line of wind passing through Omaha was in 110-115mph range... which seems more consistent based on the damage we saw the area sustain.  Fortunately, my home was located just south enough of the core of the storm... we only lost a few small tree limbs.

1.  That first Photo is not the Qwest Cetner.

2.  I would like to see a lot of buildings stand up to 100+ MPH straight line winds.

3.  I would not start flapping your gums too fast... Just wait until you GLASS arena meets a nice midwestern hail storm.

4.  DTO, quit wasting your time with these people that hate you!

Folks, please don't use the occurrence of disaster as a chance to disparage our neighbors to the north.

I haven't been able to access that URL for weeks.  I've removed it from my bookmarks already.

Speaking of Swim Trails, Looks Like the Qwest Center Omaha was ment to have a pool in it:

We had bad seats to see this, but they had this really cool waterfall that they could write wrods and draw pictures with!  It was cool!

HOW DID THEY DO THAT? I have never seen a portable Olympic sized swimming pool before. That does look neat though.

Its actually sitting on the arena floor where the Hockey rink/baskatball court goes.  The walls are aluminum pannels connected together.  They took out the first 9 rows of seats and built a deck from the edge of the pool over to where row 9 would be.  There are actually steps from the arena floor to get up to pool level.  They used a fire truck to fill it up! Its really amazing!

And to top it all off..... There is another one the exact same size in the convention center for warm-ups!!!

Cool stuff...O did a great job of embracing the event.

Anybody hear what the economic impact of the trials is?

The same  company did the lightening for this event that did the lighting for the 2004 Sidney games.  There is also Pyro technics when the finish any final and for World Records.  It almos has a rock concert feel when you are there.

As far as economic impact, I don't remember the actual numbers, but I will look it up.  It was in the millions.

Looked like a fantastic event. I was curious about how the timing of it worked. It was just an hour each night, but I'm assuming there was a bunch of tape-delay stuff, etc. Regardless, it seemed like NBC and Omaha both did a good job.

What was the attendance? Looked pretty crowded on TV.
If it doesn't have street-level retail, it's an abortion.
