Just going to share random pictures that don't go under any particular thread here.

Took these today, but in the future I may post some older shots I particularly like.

What a clean and beautiful city! What great pictures! You do us proud. That Peck's sign reminded me of the time my mother took me to that department store to buy me a winter coat. I was 16 and she was 57. The cashier asked her if she was my grandmother. My mother yelled back at her, "No! I am her great grandmother!"

Another thing, I recently saw an article about art deco. The author should have taken a look at some of the wonderful architecture in downtown Kansas City. I didn't appreciate all that surrounded me when I was a young girl. I guess I still don't.

Very nice.

Two Pershing is now branded "2300 Main".

That's a pat on the shoulder and a slap in the face followed by a sincere apology.

Looking at the condition of that vault under the sidewalk, I sure will not be walking on the east side of Wyandotte south of the Crown Plaza.

I like #22 (people bridge with lights on side). The great perspective draws you in. But all of them are worth viewing. Thanks much!

What's going on across the street from Municipal Auditorium?

A few years ago a small garage structure was demolished, leaving a ragged hole in its place. The cavities under the street were part of that building's basement.

The third picture in your post is actually a different part of downtown. It shows the steam pipe system being installed in front of John's Big Deck

You’ll have to let us know next time you’re going to be down there! Maybe we all could do a KCRag meetup downtown!

That's a really good idea. I don't recall the last meetup we had!
