Re: Above Kansas City.....KC from a different perspective
Thanks. By the way, I bought a panoramic aerial photo of the Plaza from a storefront business on East Street on the north edge of Parkville a number of years ago. Was that your place?
Re: Above Kansas City.....KC from a different perspective
awesome shots. i love the ones where it shows the downtown and plaza skylines in the same shot.

Excellent work Grid! I'm liking the new pano's!
Re: Above Kansas City.....KC from a different perspective
I really like the angles of the plaza you shoot. captures the whole thing.
also like the way you shot crossroads. took me a second to orient myself as to where it was in the city.

Beautiful! Thanks for posting those. I love the various KC photos threads going here.
What's the most unexpected thing you've seen while taking those photos? A photog friend told me a story where he was hired by a Catholic university in the midwest to do some panoramics of the campus. Only when he got the photos developed (this was a while ago) did he realize that a fair number of them contained some sort of nudity, mostly from students not closing their blinds.

Re: Above Kansas City.....KC from a different perspective
First off thanks for the comments!
On this photo trip, I learned not to do daytime photos of cities during a nasty drought in the middle of July. Any place in kc where there is grass looks like bare dirt from the air. Same thing in Indy (taken same week). So not near as many high quality photos as I would have liked. Have to only use photos with tree tops. You can see in that plaza shot some grass in Theis Park. Looks terrible.
Nothing really other than learning each time what not to do.chaglang wrote:Beautiful! Thanks for posting those. I love the various KC photos threads going here.
