Anyone know what is going on with Balancas?

I know about the shooting incidents but does anyone know if this place is still open or not? It can be a fun place to go and it seems like I have seen it open still but sometimes it is all locked up.. any insight?

The gossip I've heard from a few downtown bartenders is that Balanca's is done.

I know.. I mean lightning doesn't strike THREE times, right..

That is what I pretty much figured but I was kind of holding out hope there was a way to get the place back to where it was put I fear that Lori doesn't have the money / energy / connections to pull it off.

It was a shame that in signing up the CD parties she was trying to generate some revenue but ended up costing her the business. Not that we haven't seen that before in KC...
