Old Mama's spot 39th/Bell

Post by kcjak »

Drove by a couple of times yesterday and it appears a new restaurant has opened in the original Mama's place on 39th and Bell. The name was something unspectacular like 39th St Cafe - anyone have details?

Last summer 39th Street Diner opened there, but I hadn't heard it had closed.

I shop and walk in that neighborhood all the time, and I have literally never seen it open. Maybe it's only open during the day during the week?

Yeah I live in the neighborhood and drive or walk past it all the time (and shop at the liqour store next door) and have never seen it open - I'm guessing that's why I thought it was new :o Has anyone eaten there?

I pass by it several times a day, and as far as I can tell it never opened.

I've noticed when driving by here over the past week it's open daily and actually was busy for breakfast yesterday. Grand Opening sign is posted - anyone try it, yet?

Interesting menus but it's listed as American and approx half of the dishes are Asian (bulgogi, teriyaki). The price point should make them popular as long as the flavor is there.

Don't get lost in the "Breakfast Desert" though  That must be the #1 menu misspelling in the English language.

Should this place turn into a Korean restaurant? It seems to be what's selling

Are there are any decent Korean restaurants in the metro NOT in JoCo?
