Raglan Road
I thought there was already a Raglan thread...guess not.
I'll start with some crappy pictures:
The multicolor lights in the ceiling are a little out of place...?

What is this place?
I agree, the red and blue really don't go.
I like that kind of ceiling, what do they call it?

That is the best website ever! "Work does indeed suck!"
I'm really excited about them coming to P&L. Their projection date is March 08. Do you know the day?

I'm more excited about this place than most of the others in P&L.

Same here. I'll probably be spending more time here than elsewhere. I think it's looking fabulous. They even have mosaic'd columns! I am still however struggling with the light show on the ceiling. When I was snapping my pics, they were fading to different colors. Doesn't go so far with what I understood this place to be.
Re: Raglan Road
It really doesn't. Maybe there is something in the lighting that motivates the construction workers to get it done.

Wow, best interior in the district I've seen. Looks like it has been in KC for 110 years or so. Nice!

Re: Raglan Road
Perhaps Raglan Road will turn down the lights and get more clubby for the late-night hours? I can just imagine the pissed off look on Chriz's face as the lights go down and the beats start pumping after he finally finds a nice quiet booth in the P&L to chat with friends over a pint.PumpkinStalker wrote: Same here. Maybe at night it'll be like a real irish bar instead of a paeon to an American fetish of a hyberbole of a mythologized culture that disappeared about 10 years ago everywhere except tourist spots in Dublin.
Re: Raglan Road
It definitely looks like a fun spot. I look forward to visiting.

looked like they were having some kind of private event tonight.
KC Region is all part of the same animal regardless of state and county lines.

Re: Raglan Road
Walked by last night around six and saw quite a few people inside, mostly in suits. I'd say it was half full. Briefly considered looking forlornly through the window in hopes of being invited in, but thought better of it...
An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.
I thought Chingon's post was clever and keenly insightfull, i.e. the exact opposite of your post.

Re: Raglan Road
Raglan looks like the most decked out place in the District thus far.
There is no fifth destination.
Re: Raglan Road
last night there were quite a few people inside too. it looked like they may have been having an employee run through.
Re: Raglan Road
They told me that it officially opens Monday night

Re: Raglan Road
I was supposed to open today. They had a steady flow of people in and out. But I don't know if they were open or what.
Re: Raglan Road
I went to Howl last night, and the card-you staff at the entrance to the district was getting a lot of questions about it. they assured everyone that asked that it would open "soon."
