This looks pretty cool, at least in the renderings. Basehor has really become quite the progressive little town.
Web site has about 5 renderings and maps of proposed development including a proposed 4 story new city hall for Basehor.

For a long time they had a combination Grocery store and gas station that caught on fire and was rebuilt to another configuration. I orriginaly thought that it was the only main town.
No trees were destroyed in the sending of this contaminant- free message.

Maybe you have heard the old joke.
A tornado ripped through Bashor last night destroying the business district - it did almost $50,000 in damage.
One of my co workers lives in Bashor and had kids in school there (they are both out of college know). She used to get very frustrated because they never could get bond issues passed for the school. Basically her impression was most Bashor residents were cheap hillbillies.
Of coures Bashor's other claim to fame was its mayor. The dude was a guard at a prison in Leavenworth and got convicted of smuggling contraband into the prison which he traded for sex with male prisioners. Naturally he was a big conservative republican.
