Weird. It was originally supposed to be a Renaissance.

Courtyard?? Really. We already have those up north.
A Renissance brand would have been more of a unique destination for out of town guests....

Yea, I agree.  This is a pretty big downgrade from the larger and more upscale Renissance that was going to be built there.  I'm not sure a courtyard is worthy of supertiff.

Here is a pic of what they referred to as the Briarcliff IV building. The construction in front is for a new roundabout and intercharge with Hwy 9.  Traffic around here has been a CF for the last year.

Putting the old folks down in the flood plain?  BTW driving down the street to the Ravello Condos, I was pleased by the look of the apartments from the street.  Very reminiscent of the traditional KC Collonade style.

Yeah, I wondered about putting senior housing in the flood plain.  Perhaps this is one of Obama's death panels? :D

I haven't driven out there to see, but I wondered if that parcel has been built up higher than surrounding farmland.

Here are some updated pics of the Briarcliff IV west of the Hilltop building and the other building going up just on the southeast side of the Hilltop building.

Looks like they are moving dirt up on that hillside to the west of NW Valley Lane and on the north side of Old Highway 9 that is undeveloped getting it ready for future development of houses. I think that part is in Riverside.
