Oh thank god. We did not need another event space that sits empty most of the day.

Eastern segment. It's not really a northen segment even though it would be the most northern portionnormalthings wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 10:23 pmKCMO has an RFP for a study of the Southern route segment from Freighthouse to Paseo Blvd. Funding for the study has been approved.normalthings wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 12:12 pmI found them on their own greenline website so I thought it wasn't Tracks 215 directlyKCPowercat wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 7:19 am I'm confused isn't this all the tracks project renderings that we have a thread for?

1705 Walnut to get a shell reconstruction. I assume this means the facade will be upgraded from the current sheet metal.

Curious what is underneath all that beautiful siding.
Re: Misc Crossroads News
The roof fell in, I think. It had been used as indoor parking for the Bishop McCann building next door.

522 East 18th Street has a development plan from Abbot
We are requesting a vacation of an alleyway at 1734 Cherry St, Kansas City, MO 64108. Our goal is to turn the empty lot located on the Northwest Corner of 18th and Cherry (522 E. 18th St) into a vibrant corner with an outdoor picnic style seating area and either a food truck or trailer concept that allows the opportunity for small start up food company to have a place to grow a brand. We believe this concept will help to continue the growth of the Crossroads East area into a vibrant and inclusive outdoor community for city residents to enjoy.
Re: Misc Crossroads News
The lot is dirt right now. Excellent! He owns the building that Lifted Spirits is in, but not the one crossfit occupies. One door down (formerly Union) was for sale, but the sign is gone -- I suspect he bought that. Either way, the alley vacation wouldn't all go to Abbott in this case.

Re: Misc Crossroads News
Not sure why the alley alongside Lifted Spirits needs to be vacated to accommodate a food truck and picnic seating on the corner.
It looks like the vacation might block rear access to adjacent buildings that front 18th street, maybe even some fronting Locust like Mean Mule Distillery.

Re: Misc Crossroads News
Should they rename the area to Abbotroads? That guy buys up everything. At least they do good work.

Speaking of Abbott Properties, tenant Josey Records is moving into the hold Normal Human space on McGee and the Josey space on Oak will become a restaurant (it already has a kitchen from its previous incarnation as an event space).

Re: Misc Crossroads News
Interesting. Seems much smaller for Josey. What type of cuisine?
Re: Misc Crossroads News
I think it was "steakhouse". Since Abbott leases to Bread & Butter, I assumed it might be a version of Stock Hill (but that's just an assumption).KCPowercat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 11:31 pm Interesting. Seems much smaller for Josey. What type of cuisine?
