That will never happen in our lifetime. Someone once said to me that nothing good happens after 3 AM and I found it difficult to argue with him.

I agree it won't happen, but I also disagree that nothing good happens after 3 AM. First, bad things happen in Kansas at 2 AM, and they would happen at midnight if that was closing time as well. Second, I've had plenty of great things go down for me after 3 AM.

That isn't the point, though. The point is that everyone who is still out at that hour is forced to move somewhere else all at the same time. The mass exodus of drunk people is really a dangerous prospect for a number of reasons.

Does anyone know if this replaces the West Bottoms location or if it's an expansion?

Ha, my father used to cash his checks at a tavern every friday until my Mom called down there and threatened to shoot the owner if he did it again.

I was fortunate enough to walk through The Jacobson today. I'd bet that it's going to be fantastic! I love how it brings the back of that building alive.

I believe it will be their offices and bakery with retail sales onsite planned for the future, but not immediately.

I guess there is a proposal to make this former school Section 8 housing:

As I understand, it is not specifically Section 8. It is a mix of low income and market rate apartments.

The border of the Westside, for those interested, is actually Broadway, and has been for long before the Crossroads tried to claim otherwise.
