There's still time to try to cut cost out of this...
Lease and financing were already signed. I would think that locks WR in?

Lol. There’s always room to cut cost out of a development after the fact. W&R as the sole tenant also gives them greater say than they would otherwise. If they can’t afford the agreed to lease rate, ownership will be inclined to find ways to get that number down for W&R.

Stuff like the glazing on the parking garage, panel system for the exterior, or especially interior finishes would be easy targets.

Based on precedent at Reverb, the street-level aspects of the project will be cut first. Watch out for a podium fortress.

They'll probably put the rest of the crane up tomorrow. Definitely by Thursday

It has been fascinating watching the crane go up via another crane from my living room the past few days.

Looks like the crane will be completed tomorrow (weather permitting). The jib has the same Burma&Mac logos as the reverb crane. Same one possibly?

There's really no reason, to me at least, why they couldn't have finished assembling the crane today. All the pieces are on site.

They are chugging along on this! I bet we’ll be rising above street level by the end of the summer 😎

Having a River-Crown-Plaza centrist world view, I was thinking this would be completely hidden in the skyline by the bulk of Loew's. But seeing the crane from 71, this is going to make a contiguous skyline all the way to the KCPA.
