2). Same premise as No. 1, but the garage is being built to accommodate a new development on the same block, but west of the proposed garage -- across the alley were Farm to Market and Bearing Distributors are now. Those buildings are owned by the same entity. The proposed garage parcel appears to be owned by an LLC with a different address, but that could just be a law firm holding it for either Price Development, or the owner to the west.
Yes, that is exactly what I'm talking about. I'm wagering the garage project has something to do with that, AND, perhaps something Price Development has planned to the east. I can't imagine that Price Development is planning on sitting on an entire cleared city block for long.
This is close to the new Church of Scientology headquarters. They currently own at least two surface lots in the vicinity. Perhaps this will be for them? 300 parking spaces seems approximately correct for a 65k sf office building. (I searched briefly but didn't find any information about their employee count.)

What a gross project this one is. I assume the neighborhood association will be able to get some significant changes here.
It's ugly, which can hopefully be fixed with feedback but if it can help other projects get off the ground and develop other lots then great. And at least they understood putting retail around it. Hopefully they also design in a way to allow a building on top (and yes even a tall one if the 130' Xroad limit is ever nixed).

I've always thought that Main-Grand should be zoned for up to ~180-220 Ft.

I'm going to lock this thread until the original poster can confirm it's authenticity.
This project was on Area’s website (OpenArea.COM). I just went to grab the link to the PDF and it looks like they removed it completely (including from the map)

It looks like the 1900 Grand site is owned by Price Brothers now.
