Buildings in much worse shap have been rehabbed. I think the people to contact would be those council members on the planning and zoning commission.

It looks like work has started on the Wallstreet Tower. The sidewalk is closed off, the bus shelter is gone and they are cleaning up and repairing the outside of the building.

i-35 south has a billboard about the wallstreet. I don't understand why more big projects don't do this....catch people going home stuck in traffic might be enough to persuade them :)

Just to let everyone know, the site for Wallstreet has now been updated and has a lot more up, including floor plans.

The sales office is supposed to open this Sunday for the homes tour. I think they have four different model units.

they have 4 models open, on the 17th floor. By far, the most elegant of all the downtown options. the views are incredible. The prices are out of my range, starting at 160,000. Wood floors, granite countertops, stainless appliances.

The real estate agents were not terribly friendly, so that turned me off. I think I'd bring my own agent with me rather than deal with those folks.

I saw it on Sunday also. Amazing views. The north side is smack up against the old Art Deco Dwight Building. Also good views down into the UMB headquarters compound.

Only negative I saw was no operable windows. I've seen other office-to-residential conversions that at least put in a few small windows for fresh air.

no kind of outside deck would be a negative too unless they are planning a rooftop deck on the building or a nearby garage. Are they?

I would like to be able to open a window.

I didn't get any pricing on the 2 bedrooms. HOA's are in the $.25 sq ft range. It does include 2 parking spaces per unit, which is great.

Apartment towers in New York often don't have windows that open.

However, I don't know if I could live in a building where the windows didn't open.

Wow. These places are AWESOME. Of course showing me the 17th floor always helps.

Talking to them, 2 windows will open in each unit.

Still not a balcony but that would help.

.28/sq.ft. home owners dues is the aprox. amount at this time but not set in stone.

I want one....NOW.

Soho & Greenwich (1 bed, 1 ba 849 sf)
5th - $160k (goes up $5k every floor until 12, $10k until 17, $15k from that except 20 which ends at $325,000)

5th $255k (up approx. 10k per floor, 20th is $525k)

The View should have built their model units higher up. The impact of Wall Street's models on the 17th floor is really impressive.

agreed danger....View really screwed up having their models on practically the ground floor. That development just seems shady.

Wallstreet is in a great location with views everywhere. I don't think they will be available for long.
