I’m tempted to track down the architect and grill them on the design...
If it doesn’t risk your job, you should post them. I’ve found that if there is a groundswell of negative reaction from the public early in the design process it is much easier to get changes than after much work has already been done.

We should see the pictures so we can judge them ourselves

Does the drawing show they plan to tear down the former bank building facade and replace it with the parking podium?

I have no doubt that the Burns and Mac servers log who access what files and when. No real reason to risk it at this point.

Tell them to save the bank facade! This sounds like a somewhat underwhelming project, but it would gain my support if there was a bit of preservation involved.

What's the ruling on those sconces? Authentic? Tacky add-on?

Tacky add-ons. If they were original the wiring would have been behind the stone.

You can also see that the wings were just welded on.

Tacky but bold

it doesn't apply here, but curious: might you see external wiring for a sconce that was converted from pre-electricity fuel (presumably gas)?

I would expect not. A quality renovation would have replaced the gas line with electric wire utilizing the same hole through the wall.

I remember dancing at that location in the early 'aughts. I think it was the second Tootsies location? Can't remember, only recall that it was 2001-2002.

Dixie Bell was in the Rieger. 1822 was Tootsies.
