The eighth-floor rooftop will have a bar and restaurant that includes a private lounge that can be rented for events. The rooftop will be designed to function year-round with indoor and outdoor seating.
The basement level will have meeting rooms and an event space that can accommodate up to 300 people. There also will be a fitness room on the seventh floor.

The Palace Clothing Company building sure is looking forlorn right now.

It's the same developer as the Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn downtown. Nobody should be surprised it's dragging on far too long.

Haven't seen these renderings posted. They show the atrium, lobby bar, and a guest room. I'm sort of bothered by the fact that it doesn't appear each hotel room will line up with the current windows. The guest room rendering shows most the window is in the room, but the last bit is chopped off. Going to make it look a little weird at night. Hoping this one still happens.

Perhaps the lighting effects are meant to make it not as noticable?

Could be the case but it might still be noticeable. Having that type of lighting on a building like this helps make it stand out a bit. I can picture a future where all buildings on Grand are lit up like this.beautyfromashes wrote: ↑Sun Jul 17, 2022 5:27 pm Perhaps the lighting effects are meant to make it not as noticable?

This is similar to the lighting on the Hotel Kansas City (old KC Club building) right?

Yes. And, to a much smaller extent, the Power and Light Building.Cratedigger wrote: ↑Sun Jul 17, 2022 10:50 pm This is similar to the lighting on the Hotel Kansas City (old KC Club building) right?
