The top of the research tower staircase is going in. From the north the grid for the diamond panels is done.

The glass under the cantilevered end is an argyle pattern. The rooftop is a puzzlement. What would usually be something level to hide mechanicals(as at H&R Block or Loew's) here is sloping upwards toward the east at a low angle.

Just go look at the photo, it's basically a fancy stairwell top

Also, it's not an argyle pattern, it's more randomized. An argyle is multiple overlapping shapes (like diamonds making up a larger diamond that also repeats) and this one doesn't have that

Did not know that argyle is patterned with interlocking diamonds. I can confuse argyle and harlequin. The rooftop erection I am talking about is not shown in that rendering. I am not talking about the stairwell top which is not a low angle. This has the inline of a low ramp. This construction extends over the entire length of the roof and is now just a slender partial metal framework. It is much more visible from the south. I have not seen it depicted in any of the renderings.

The building has a certain level of r/evilbuildings vibe going on with the new red lighting stripes. It looks fantastic both up close and from inside the loop.

Beautiful. I wish Reverb installed similar lights to outline its overhangs.

Can that light stripe change colors or will it just be red?

I believe will just be red with each red light representing a deformity they are working to fix in the genetic code depicted in light on the side of the building.

Must be keeping 2nd tower crane on south up to service the vertical addition going up on the roof. Quite massive elevator core for just 2 additional floors!

Glass starting to wrap the the staircase tower is very nice. Is going to make it look like a towering crystal shard.

Hey all, just with all this additional free time we all have, I thought I would give you a local, real report on what is happening right now in this pandemic. As with previous posts, it isn't hard to figure out which hospital I work for. With cases just starting to roll in (and quite a low hospitalization rate), it is already a pretty dire situation for us front line staff.

We are down to a few weeks (if lucky) of PPE (gowns, gloves, masks) as well as running low on our hospital-grade sanitizer and practically any device or certain medications. This actually becomes problematic in that with COVID patients, we have to wear N95 masks or PAPRs (hoods with a HEPA filter) and we are practically out of both already. Current CDC recommendations are that if you run out of those, you wear bandanas - I wish this was a joke, but it's true. Where this is actually getting quite crazy is that they are closing the Kansas location of our hospital except for the Emergency Department to reallocate staff and preserve what little PPE we have.
