Is it just me or does the rendering look way bigger than the lot?

An illusion of relativity.

It always, always surprises me how much larger an urban lot somehow becomes, when a building filling it is erected.

..........not the same impact when the same size building goes up with vacant land surrounding.

Does that last image show a studio with a twin bed in the kitchen?

I would assume that either there is a partition wall between the kitchen and the bed, someone is as lonely and loves breakfast in bed as much as I do, or this is for people over 500 lbs.

Centrics Project's (local construction firm) website refers to this project as the Ace Lofts.

They've had it fenced off for a couple of weeks, and Michael Smith had to relocate his recycling bins and dumpsters...they encroached onto the property slightly in the back alley. So it appears they are very near groundbreaking. Very excited for this project!

Excellent! It's about damn time. I'm super excited about this project. All this new building going on in Kansas City is a beautiful thing to see.
