The rooftop park has opened above Cosentinos.

Gee, $417,000 for a bathroom.  I know it's not like adding a bathroom to your house, but $417,000.  I wonder what the range of bids were for this project.

I spent that much on just my toilet.  What a steal!

I think I might just go down to have lunch at said park this afternoon.

Your bathroom is much, much nicer then mine.   I did add a TV to mine last year.  It's great for those sportcenter updates early in the morning.

I was confused...its above the Cosentinos parking garage...not Cosentino's...where would the bags go this summer without their Jones pool?

it's north of jones more above all the other retailers.

I went up there saturday...very nice.  Fair warning to jones haters, you might have to ride in an elevator or see the jones doorman to get to the park.

In all fairness...that money went to safety features as well...after hearing about some of the attacks in Plaza parking garages...all for that.

There is a similar garden in a building in Oakland CA where I used to work.  Only the people who worked in the building knew about it and it wasn't easy to find (even though it's public), so you never saw any riff-raff.  The only annoying feature was that the benches were all in the sun at lunch time - not good for shade-seekers like me.  Once a month in the summer, music groups performed.

There are also some in San Francisco's financial district that are designated as public space, but again they are hard to locate.

We need more of these.

Went for a quick stroll today, nice bathroom from the oustide!  Doors were locked and I really wanted to check it out AND use it!  Just enough grass to through a football around, think I'd like to do that sometime.  Great views of most of the prominent skyscapers as well!

The wife and I visited the park Saturday afternoon.  It's a nice space.  They need to get some trash cans in the restroom stat or it's going to be disgusting.

BUT, BUT, BUT, how can anyone enjoy that space when the music from Jones pool is blaring with terrible techno and 90's pop??  While the park is nice, it's not a relaxing place while the pool is open.  My wife and I were on the only ones at the park, yet we had to raise our voices just to hear each other talk, that's how loud the music is from the pool.

Darin, i feared that would be the problem. i also feel for the people w/ neighboring lofts and apartments. Friends in the Country Club lofts have complained that they can't hear their own music or tvs over Jones' noise pollution.

Can somebody explain what the ground-covering is on the eastern edge of the park?  Is that grass?

I can see it from my condo and I see it in the pictures posted above.  And it looks terribly splotchy, patchy, and discolored.

Whereas the photos reveal that the grass on the western edge of the park is pristine and well manicured.

What's the story?
