I agree, I love the new building.

Videoof the new Fed from the Star.

It looks like it's probably the most important architectural addition since the Nelson expansion.

I like how they recreated, in sculpture, the reliefs that flank the entrance of the original Fed.

that is really cool!  Those are beautiful statues.  I'll have to check out the project now that it's finished when I return to KC next

I'm still not a big fan.  It would look better in the loop, or more flush against the street, or taller.  But I know these were not options.  It's not bad at all, I just wish it had a little more elegance, a little more street presence/interaction, and a lot less two-story parking garage.  It does add a nice element to the Liberty Memorial gate intersection area, and it looks great from further north at night, very prominent.
are we spinning free?

The Federal Reserve Bank is building an additional parking garage to serve employees without on-site parking.

I had once heard a few years back that the Federal Reserve has outgrown their new space. Any change they build a second tower?

Henry(Harry) Cobb, architect of the Fed Reserve and also 2600 Grand has passed. He designed both buildings as frames for the Liberty Memorial and not as visual competitors

Looking through the newest available operating budget. The KC Fed budget was boosted 8% in 2020. 3rd largest increase across the system. Only San Fran and Cleveland with bigger increases. Looks like 5% was the average.

Employment at the KC Fed is up to about 2,064 and growing.
