Yes pursuing an outdoor activity center would get so many more people down there to utilize and become comfortable. If there is anyway we could get a city museum like St. Louis I could see it doing well down there tooearthling wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 7:32 pm My Brooklyn brother just sent me these while walking home. Domino Park in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Could see WB pursue something like these...

This building still appears to be on the market, but a Special Use Permit application was recently submitted on Compass: "Sporting event venue indoors. Dodgeball with Bows and arrows, gaming sports."KCtoBrooklyn wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 1:06 pm Here is a building that I believe is new to the market - the Laramie Tires Building at 1201 Union. Looks like it could have good potential. 120,000 sq ft:

Tours today in conjunction with Historic West Bottoms Celebration.
They seem a bit behind schedule? Frankly, I'm surprised this isn't on a 10 year timeline.

Rau Construction office and warehouse. If I understand right the old freight house section will all return to 19th century brick exterior. The mid-century modern addition to the east will remain mid-century modern.normalthings wrote: ↑Sat Nov 14, 2020 9:41 pmRAU construction office?Critical_Mass wrote: ↑Sat Nov 14, 2020 7:27 pm Couldn't find the post that mentioned this. I'm not sure if any organization does a "Most Enhanced Award" for historic redevelopment projects in KC, but if this building is overhauled and made to look like it did in the 19th Century, then it would surely win the award. Same goes for the West Bottoms Flats and numerous other projects in the City.Rabble wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 7:34 pmRau Construction office and warehouse. It's not quite that old. It was built 1909-1911Chris Stritzel wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 2:52 am I'm not sure if any organization does a "Most Enhanced Award" for historic redevelopment projects in KC, but if this building is overhauled and made to look like it did in the 19th Century, then it would surely win the award.
