The RFP is out there. They said the only requirement is transit-oriented development. Hope the bigs guys turn up.

One of my favorite street foods downtown. Tikka House in City Market Sq is mostly Indian but also has some doable Med pockets for only $2 each. Gyro, spinch/feta, all feta, potato, chicken, shredded steak. Mixing two for $4 is a better lunch portion but 1 is a decent snack. Best when you happen to hit them fresh. Typically served in togo handbag but can ask for tzatziki and/or chili sauce (usually not offered). Their curry wraps are also tasty.

Would be nice if all City Market counter joints had $2-$3 small eats. Good way to sample various places for weekend visitors too.

This might sound crazy, but it sounds like an automat stocked by all the stores could provide this. The lower labor needed helps keep cost down.

Restaurant idea for City/River Market area that I'm stealing from a small chain on E Coast, called Dig Inn.

It's a build your own bowl place a lot like poké bowls but instead more towards fresh farmers market goodies. Could see this in RM area with a KayCee spin to it. Yeah I guess Protein House does something similar too but this is bowls only with char'd add-ons and more farmer's market focused, not pre-chopped things coming out of a baggy.

3. The Parcel Tracker has "Ashland at River Market LLC" down as the property owner.

13. The Downtown KC development tracker reports 200+ units are in the works.
