^Yeah there's a justification for storage units for RM but too bad it's in a prime corner rather than over by the tracks or something.

Is the SA and the city planning on doing anything to alleviate the issue with cars circling RM on weekends? Streetcar was stuck behind traffic on 5th going to the first stop, and it honestly took us longer to get to that stop than it did riding the streetcar the rest of the length

FWIW, there are several self-storage places along the Portland Streetcar route.

Not sure what the status of this is, but I found a website for it: Market Commons https://marketcommonskc.com/

Hopefully it happens. Seems like a fun concept.

Just got back from a trip to London. Very cool newish shipping container project in the Shoreditch neighborhood. Seems relevant to the type of thing we want for Delaware Street. This thing was massive and very well executed.

Cold Storage Lofts have been sold again.

100-year old River Market apartment building sells — again
A new buyer has taken ownership of a historic River Market building converted into 226 apartments — the property's second investment sale in less than two years.

29th Street Capital (29SC), a Chicago-based real estate investment firm, recently acquired the Cold Storage Lofts at 500 E. Third St. from CLK Properties of Woodbury, New York. A purchase price was not disclosed.
...
29SC, too, looks to enhance unit interiors, including through smart home and stainless steel kitchen appliance upgrades, the firm said in a release. Also planned are renovations to the rooftop pool, garage and signage.

That’ll be a great location for one. Businesses like this are fantastic to continue forward momentum for a neighborhood

Per Facebook and Reddit, "Market 3" is closing as well as the salon next door. Sounds like they are getting pushed out. Unfortunate news for the neighborhood.

That's unfortunate. Hopefully Market 3 can find a new home. Have been hoping they'd expand to midtown/downtown inner neighborhoods as areas improve density.
