There will be a setback between the building and the elevated walkway and sidewalk. There will be no direct connection to the elevated walkway.

Yes, right now the west edge of the sidewalk approaching the pedestrian bridge entrance is a chain link fence separating a mostly vacant asphalt lot. Now it will be open space and probably planted.

I’d just like them to remove the dumpster train at the end of the bridge. It smells really bad coming down the bridge stairs with the dumpsters from four large restarants right at the bottom.

Move them under th viaduct. There's clearly already some under there so it's reasonable to do.

That viaduct will be a major walking traffic corridor when the buildings east of Main are redeveloped. They should just move them to the southern side of the lot next to the tracks instead of right under a walking entrance to/from Union Station.

I doubt Jack Stack will want to drag their trash and grease traps all the way to the eastern edge of the freight house property.

They can get a cart.

It's not further than from one corner of a walmart to another.

We shouldn't be making excuses that a place is too far to walk to when it's only one block away.

It's all private property. You go sell them on it and see how far you get.

It just seems that a restaurant wouldn't want to put the trash as the first thing you see of their business. There are tons of people, including lots of tourists, who travel between the Crossroads and Union Station at that point. Why not put a decent welcome sign out instead of a stench? And it just means moving the cans 20-30 yards. Just a thought. Not much hope on making it happen.

Ah you see, that can’t happen because of these five dozen logistical complications which prohibit the action you are requesting as well as prove that the city ordinance dictates a minimum tolerance, ect, ect, ect.......

If your going from US to their business you don’t walk past and if you are going from US to Crossroads you aren’t their customer.

I don't think you're picturing where this spot is. If you're going from Union Station to their business using the stairs down from the viaduct you always go past their dumpsters

Can we all agree not to have 3 pages worth of posts about the location of the neighboring property's dumpsters? Thanks
Now we can get back to arguing about the existence of a hypothetical off-leash dog park within a hypothetical park.

joke understood, but trash is a big topic for downtown

A regular topic on twitter is trash trucks too early in the morning and lack of recycle pickup in multi family

The project is on the Council committee agenda. A change to the incentive agreement is needed since 30 parking spaces were removed and 53 housing units added.

The renderings are pretty basic so hard to tell what they plan at street level. Where the ped bridge meets the building, would hope they do something engaging with the pedestrian flow.

We will see more refined renderings soon enough. These look like a way to establish a basic massing.

Rendering observations: The Podium project is rendered as well as the widely talked about "Green Line". I notice that the Green Line switches over to 22nd Street at the Pedestrian Bridge
