Database issue - Wednesday, June 13, around 2 pm

Post by kard »

There was another database issue today between 2 and 2:30 pm.  Posts made between these times would have been lost.  Sorry for the inconvenience, but the hourly backups bahua started did keep the loss from going all the way back to midnight again.

This provider needs to get bent. We really need to rack a box and get it over with.

Any idea on why this keeps happening?  It seems to be doing it every week now.

Did it happen again today (6/18/07)? I've requested notification for several threads, including "Downtown 2007 Photo Map." I received three emails today informing me that Bahua, Annie, and 49r posted replies, but they are not there. I suppose the posters could have deleted their own, but that seems unlikely.

Okay. My mistake. I got a notification that the topic had split. Why don't I get a link to the other side?

Is the forum getting mined or something? - seems like there is a huge spike in "guests" this morning, upwards of 160+ at a time - many of them printing threads.

Now up to 190+ - they are multiplying by the minute.  Escalating the "most online" record at a steady pace.

Looks like we peaked at 10:38. Not sure what the deal is. Probably either a mention in the media or a rash of spammers.

I think they were probably spammers(robots) casing/feeling out the site. These things happen.
