It looks like closing the forum seems to be working as any spammer still around seems to have registered prior to the notice going up.

Not sure how many legit registrations the board gets per day, whether it would give the admins too much extra work, but is it possibly time to think about requiring admin approval for new registrations? At least temporarily, to see if this wave of spambots dies down?

Although, it is interesting that the Moncler jackets post on the "KC Scene" board garnered twice as many views as the same post on other boards.
Lesson for Spam Bots - the KC Scene board is the place to be.

So is there any way to get rid of some of these spambot posts? When I try to delete some of them, it reads "post does not exist."

Go out to Board Index, then click Mark Forums Read (towards the bottom, in the middle).

Thanks, the forums don't show up as red anymore, but the spambot posts are still there.

I just noticed that every PM I've ever sent on this forum now has a cc to a spambot. That's pretty weird.

Anybody noticed any particular outbreaks since Nov 20ish, 2013, when I started the manual activation thing?
