New demographic maps from CNN

KC looks about as segregated as most other major cities in the US. It's clear from the maps that almost every city in the US has distinct red/orange areas (black/hispanic) and blue areas (white). The CNN methodology makes it easier to see how the denser cities are segregated. For the less dense cities, you will need to zoom out a bit. Unfortunately, it's hard to tell exactly where you are in any given city when zoomed in. The only info on the map other than the dots themselves are state lines, river courses and coastlines.

As of 2017 KC was no longer in top 20 of highly segregated cities, would be interesting to see an update of this list...

The CNN maps are pretty difficult to distinguish compared to above, but here is 2020...
