I'm on flyer number 9 from Jolie. Should I say something to her? It seems like a huge waste of money

It's not a waste of money. It's the cheapest way for her to reach people.

Definitely feel free to say something to her if you're offended by the tremendous waste of paper - but I wouldn't tell her she's wasting money. Because she's not.

I don't know how anyone can turn on the news seeing weekly murders in our city, with homeless roaming all over the urban core, with streets in such bad condition they are damaging vehicles and think "We need to keep the same leadership in place"

So...what do you want city leadership to do to resolve those issues? What do you think a city leader (either the actual ones running or any idealized one) *can* do?

Jolie has really been making a strong pro-transit position this week. Tonight she said every Kansas Cityian should be able to live car free.

This is why her candidacy remains a joke.

The entire east side is likely happy with that stance. And if you look at past elections, the east side turns out to vote when other parts of town don't despite not making up a majority of the city.

Good for them. Justus doesn't have appeal outside of midtown.

The Star endorsed Mark Funkhouser and Roy Blunt.

Is it worse that they endorsed them or that enough people were fooled enough to get them elected? Luckily this mayoral election, there doesn’t seem a candidate who is electable that I would hate to see in the office. Miller, Justus, Lucas...I’d be happy with any of them.

So you’re saying they are accurate?

I'm surprised you all hate Blunt. He votes for all the pig outs you guys like for your little toy train.

When was the last time he met with constituents? And I'm not sure what kind of sway The Star even has any more.

It's strange that Kansas City is inarguably in the best shape it's been in decades and people are like "eff these bums at City Hall". The Star editorial seemed to penalize anyone who had a meaningful role at City Hall in the last 4 years.

I thought that was odd as well.

They need clicks and so want controversy.

Certain sports story that came up recently comes to mind.
