Boulevard Chocolate Ale: The White Whale

Post by smh »

What's the deal with this beer?

Anybody know where I can still find it on tap? It seems that all of the bottles are gone. I didn't realize there was going to be such a run on it.

I am happy I was able to pick up a couple of bottles, but I have yet to find it on tap before it runs out.
I do think the beer is very good, but it does not quite live up to all of the hype.

I figured as much re: hype. But as a Boulevard fan I'd really like to try it. I can't believe it sold so quickly.

Grinders sold out around 7:30 on Friday night - and the Brick was also sold out by Saturday morning.

pretty cool to see folks going nuts over a boulevard beer.  we sampled it at the rieger on saturday night - definitely tasty, although i could not have more than one.  smells like a chocolate truffle, but it's surprisingly light and crisp going down.  i assume blvd will make more of this after seeing the insane demand, but i don't know how long it will take.

You are lucky I left you some.  The wife and I had our Valentine dinner at the bar and was amazed at how good it is.
I'll have what the gentleman on the floor is having.

"still on tap at some bars and restaurants around town." Anyone have a suggestion as to where? I'd really like to get a taste of this beer.

I've come to accept that I won't be able to acquire a bottle. At least not at retail price.

White Whale sightings have returned. Anyone have any luck harpooning this, the most elusive of beasts?
