Best Buy's new world headquarters in Richfield, MN
This thing makes Sprint campus look like the Plaza...

Was this photo taken over a weekend or are the 15 year old zit-faced kids who work at the retail stores run the HQ as well?
KCSKYSCRAPERS changed my life. I was on the edge until I visited this site. Now I find myself longing to dive off a 60 story building onto a frozen fountain paying tribute to the St. Louis Arch.

I kind of know somebody (or know of somebody, rather), on another board (a jazz board), who works for Best Buy, and probably works at their headquarters.

If anyone would like, I could invite him to this forum/thread - if anyone cares to ask any questions about the place. From what I know of his on-line personality, he's a pretty open and honest guy, and if he didn't like their new "campus", he's probably say so.
10-year resident of KCMO, who lives in the Volker neighborhood, near the West 39th Street corridor. I grew up outside of St. Louis, on the Illinois side of the river (near Belleville, IL).

Is that a massive parking garage in the back? The only reason I like this one better than Sprint's is that it's closer to the highway like I stated earlier. Sprint's campus has just overloaded Metcalf, 119th Street and College Blvd. Plus the entrance ramps onto 435 going westbound allow for about 100 yards to merge and then you need to cutover 3 lanes. Just pisspoor planning IMO.

Right now the Sprint traffic causes problems on the 435, but if it emptied directly onto the freeway...435 would be a parking lot.

So your saying to help alleviate traffic problems campuses and large office towers should be located farther from major highways?

Sprint's massive campus creates traffic routes out all over So Jo Co (119th, 135th, Nall, Metcalf, 435, etc.) If everyone at Sprint was emptied directly on the 435 or 35...there would be serious gridlock.
