WN just announced new N/S between KC and Long Beach, starting 3/9.
Local demand is there but the new terminal connecting experience had to help tremendously.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
So, going forward, what airline not named Southwest will have the biggest presence at KCI? I read of both Delta and United upping their game in KC (at least from the comments on the Rag). Just renewed my United and American credit cards (holdovers from years in Texas) but wondering what would be op...

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
United has 40 line stations with maintenance capabilities per their website. I'm out of my pay grade here, but I believe a few airlines have MRO capabilities at KCI. I want to say American and Southwest and maybe Delta? Cargo too. Don't quote me on this. Delta, SWA, and a bunch of others do MRO at ...

SWA will offer 6.2% more seats than pre-Covid 35% yoy increase. 5th largest total capacity increase of any city in their network. I’d go ahead and take a guess and say this is partially influenced by the new terminal, but I’m just spitballing I think that helps, combined with post COVID travel rebo...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Glad to hear Alaska's upgauging Portland. Hopefully they'll also expand the timeframe for direct flights. The last couple of times I've flown to Portland, I had to go through Seattle because direct flights either were not available on days I needed to travel or weren't available at all. Let’s hope ...

Portland on Alaska getting upgraded to a 737 for summer. Also noticed Austin on AA is down to once a day. Didn’t realize that or if I did, I forgot. It was loaded over the weekend. Seems like AA is throwing a lot of routes at AUS to see what sticks. They just loaded SMF-AUS, which is already compet...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments
Sometimes I feel like people don’t know how flights work lol We’re surrounded by pretty established international hubs. If you’re traveling from Spain or Italy or Portugal or France and on and on, these airports all have established transatlantic routes. People aren’t going to fly to London to get ...

What's the deal with Spirit? No more Detroit? Per the Flykci web site they only fly from KCI to Vegas, LA and Orlando. They are almost as flaky as Frontier. LCC’s are the most impacted by high fuel prices I always thought Detroit was a weird route for a ULCC from here DTW route for Spirit always ha...

Re: AMC and Ten Main Center
The Price Brothers have purchased the building for $48 Million and plan to convert the remaining floors into 135 apartment units (total would then be 251). There are no plans to build on top of the neighboring parking garage (for now at least). https://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2022/06/17...
