Re: Designated Driver Service in KC
Hard to know how it would do here, but the London one has been going strong for 10+ years. I would think it would make even more sense in KC than Europe, since almost the entire population owns a car. What percentage of London partiers even own a car in the first place? For those taking a trip w...

Re: Designated Driver Service in KC
Double the price of a taxi but without any of the expense of operating a car - sounds like a recipie for profit to me. I'd be curious to the insurance costs. If I told my agent I was going to be driving random (Anything between a ford focus and a Corvette) cars around for 40 hours a week, he'd pro...

Re: Designated Driver Service in KC
This doesn't sound like a very profitable venture, but clever. They would be hard pressed to be able to find good employees that want to drive around drunks on cold Friday and Saturday nights. Then the liability of someone you probably aren't paying very well to drive around $50,000 SUVs. I bet you ...

Re: Channel 5 hack job on xroads crime
7 years downtown and never a break in. Never even heard of a neighbor getting broke into. I didn't leave anything in value in sight inside my car. When I went to middle school in Blue Springs, most of the kids I ran with got all their money from change cups in unlocked cars in and mailboxe bday card...

Re: My New House, Restoration and such
Very nice. How many hours do you think you've spent? How much $$$? I'm just curious....
I'm working on my masterbath right now. I'll have to share some before and afters. I had to tear out two walls, ceiling, floor, some joists. It basically has been a giant black hole in the middle of my house.

I spoke to the CFO for a few minutes a week ago. Contributing to the renewal of our core sounded like one of the major motives for the move. There is a guy at Helix actually named Reeve Wiedeman. Strange...

Re: Cool condos in Columbus Park
For several reasons, mainly the current condo supply and strict lending guidelines, I've decided to put off my condo conversion for a while. So, everything is going back to rentals. I have 3 lofts available right now, and two more opening up by the end of the year. $950-$1575. I'm hoping that thing...

I just wanted to point out that show on tru tv. Of course I had to contribute to the judgement of the clientele and get involved in some sort of debate. Fuck that place, fuck that crowd, fuck people who look to paris hilton for inspiration, im out.

I don't think this show has been mentioned anywhere in the thread http://www.trutv.com/shows/rehab/index.html Like a bad car wreck, I couldn't turn away. I know that...but the water is actually brown, and looks like its full of sh**. If people wanted to swim in muddy, polluted water, they'd drive up to Smithville Lake...rather than Schlitterbahn Vacation Village. Most people on the Star's page are whining about the pricing. Most mentionable; it's only $5 to get into the Gardner pool and I could get into Silver Dollar City for less than that.

Re: Burning ordinances and such
I'm just wanting to get rid of the small twigs and branches that I have to pick up when I mow after a windy period. If I need to get rid of anything significant I take it down to the longview drop off. If I could start a small fire every once in awhile to get rid of some twigs, that would be cool. I...
