Re: 1822 Main Redevlopment

I’d say the real stain is that the crossroads is so underdeveloped and low rise that a mere 12 story building can dominate its skyline. If you don’t like it, bury it!

Why did iowa get the job of printing papers from now on? Is the facility up there way better than the Star pavilion was? That has always confused me

Re: OFFICIAL - Buck O'Neil Bridge

Wasn't the plan all along for the northernmost span to be demo'd, even if the bridge was staying? I didn't think they could make the connection from the new bridge to 169 north of the river with the old span in place. You are correct. Even the renderings of it turned into a park showed that span gone

Re: Is KC Tenants destroying the development future of downtown KCMO?

Are other developed countries like this? Where if a city isn’t just totally rockin economically it just stops being able to function?

KC isn’t even close to the worst example of this; how many bankrupt Detroits does the rest of the first world have?

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal

I've been using the airport more and I think the criticism is mostly off base. It's a very nice airport. I traveled with my parents recently who are perfectly mobile but getting up there in age and they asked why there weren't more moving walkways. I think that's a legit critique now after spending...

I walk past this building every day and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen any sign of construction. I know it’s all interiors but there should’ve been a dumpster

Godspeed to them though

KC leaders should stand up to MODOT eminent domaining chunks of downtown. KC leaders should NOT be asking for more lanes to induce more traffic and eat more urban land
