Re: KCI Passenger Use Soars

A few things to add.  St. Louis International still is American Airlines 3rd largest hub and American uses STL as their American Connection and American Eagle hub for midwest routes.  AA also connect east/west flights through STL.  The largest increase in passengers in STL is connecting passengers. ...

Re: New condo tower for downtown St. Louis!

Can the mods split this thread?

I thought there was some good response about the new tower and then read three pages of 3 or 4 posters "bitchfest" about universities, rap, indierock and yadda.  IM each other already.

Makes me not want to read these boards.  :?

Re: New condo tower for downtown St. Louis!

Make note that Simon Malls sold the property years ago to a slum-lord management team that did nothing to the mall in years of ownerhip - upping the price and refusing to sell to anyone that wanted a cheaper rate.  Thankfully Pyramid Properties came to the rescue - overpaid the jerk and was supporte...

Re: New condo tower for downtown St. Louis!

Either way, developers and civic leaders have long known that new residential proposals and developments were imminent because most of the large historic buildings in downtown St. Louis have been renovated, under renovation or proposed for renovation. New proposals are invitable. That is so true.  ...

Re: New condo tower for downtown St. Louis!

that 88 story tower will or would look out of place! IMO  funny that they use the kansas city skyline (with the arch) in the background on thier websitehttp://www.mcgowanwalsh.com/ The photo displays both skylines together.  STL's skyline is on the left and KC's is on the right.  M-W just added a p...

Re: The Star: Pull Union Station out of mediocrity

Coming to KC for the exhibit next month.  I saw it years ago in Grand Rapids, MI too.  I hear that it has been added onto though.

I am glad they chose Union Station to house it.

Re: Light Rail Systems And Routes In Other Cities

would it be possible to let the light rail go underground in the core, while it would be above ground when it gets farther from the core? This way we can avoid unneccesary demolition of buildings. You know I completely agree!  Yet, if they do this, the cost is out of the roof.  Here in St. Louis th...

Re: New condo tower for downtown St. Louis!

Hi everyone! Been a lurker here for a year or so and just decided to register.  I am from Lawrence originally and relocated to St. Louis recently (well actually about 6 months ago). I try to keep up with Midwestern cities through these sites and skyscraperspage. I agree that this residential highris...
