Re: Westside happenings
Meh. The Eldo design's not very good - Studio 804 knockoffs - and the houses that were demolished are part of a housing type that is quickly disappearing from the Westside. Joining those houses together at the back would have been much cooler.

No. I'm trying to ask: If the Big 12 and SEC had identical models, why has the Big 12 lost 4 members? If Texas is no different than UF/LSU/Bama, why is nobody talking about leaving the SEC? Prestige. Even if you have no shot at winning one, you want to be in the conference that has a hammer lock on...

Way to hand pick there. They will play USC, Stanford, and Navy every year. They will play a rotating schedule of 5 ACC Teams every year. So they could also play a schedule that includes USC, Clemson, and FSU, and Texas who we have scheduled for the next few years. When has ND ever played a weak sch...

Notre Dame committed highway robbery here. Notre Dame becomes eligible for the ACC's non-BCS bowl tie-ins and will share in ACC bowl revenues. And Bowls are free to pick ND over any ACC school so long as ND is within one victory of that ACC team. However, unlike its Conference foes, ND only has to ...

Seems like kind of a waste of resources to repave 3 times when you could do it once.
What's the cost of 3 repavements vs 1 repaired substructure and 1 repavement?

Years ago I saw a meeting on Channel 2 where Funk was saying that a number of roads weren't worth repaving until the substructure if fixed. He specifically mentioned Wornall and 9th Street as examples. From what it woulds like, NW 68th has the same issues. I'll be interested to see if this money jus...

i have known people (JoCoians) who say things like "oh, i never go north of 95th!" -- and mean it. part of it is because "we have everything we need out south!" but there is also the whole "it's icky and/or dangerous north of 95th" thing. the demarcation is always 95th...
