Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

I too will miss the McDs. Its been there for like two decades. And when they remodeled it a few years back, it seemed to fit right in. Its just too bad. Noodles and company is gross...and yes they already have them all of the city. Working on the Plaza, it is the only choose for a really cheap lunch...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

I am glad they are filling an old empty space....but does KC need another one? I would have much rather seen something 'new' come to the Plaza.

Uno Pizza is closing on the Plaza.
Blanc Burgers and Bottles is opening their third location in KC on the Plaza possibly at the old Uno space.

And of course Barnes and Noble serves Starbucks coffee. The Latteland is actually not a 'Latteland' anymore. Its still called that, but has different owner and a new menu. The door and menu have a different name...but I can't remember it.

Re: Cafe Italia Closes

I'm sad to see a northland business close....I like how the Star article blamed it on Metro North not doing good....Cafe Italia was not the great of food...sadly enough I'd rather go to Olive Garden...I actually prefer Cascones!

Re: Will the Northland be the new Johnson County?

Boulevards are part of the cities park system and have been for over 100 years. The Parks department does make all decisions related to them and their budget does include money to maintain them...I'd like to see something that says who pays for them...

Re: Will the Northland be the new Johnson County?

When I said the City, I was referring to Kansas City roads. The Parks department pays for and takes care of all parkways: Shoal Creek, Maplewoods, Searcy Creek, Chouteau, Tiffany Springs...They do an great job. I just wish they would not build parts a pieces of parkways. Maplewoods parkway south of ...

Re: Will the Northland be the new Johnson County?

The Northland also struggles by not having a Street Grid.  Everyone must jump on the highway to go everywhere. Its not uncommon to take 152 to go to dinner or the movies or grocery shopping. More KC and State tax dollars need to be used to create infrustructure that will allow for future development...

Re: OFFICIAL: Zona Rosa (tenants & phase II)

I was in Dillards yesterday, I have been there a few times, but I realized how nice it is. They went all out on Flooring, lighting, and furniture. The restrooms look like they are in a hotel or casino: very nice.

Re: Metro North Mall

Currently all plans for Metro North are on hold.  It was supposed to become the Shops at Barrytowne.  With Macys and JcPennys still in their existing buildings. The rest of the mall would have been demolished and outside shopping built with apartments, pad-site for banks and restaurants, a movie ple...
