I think they both will survive. I was just in the Hen House last week. The remodel is really nice. In Liberty, there's a super walmart, super target, 2 price choppers, and a brand new HyVee all in less than one mile from each other.

I just got a ticket there the other day. I put 1.50 in for an hour and half, but they are only 1 hour max...so they gave me a ticket after a little over an hour. So stupid.

This is really exciting for the Plaza and the Missouri side. I'm glad this didn't land at Oak Park Mall or someplace in southern joco.

The HyVee should be opening soon. I am not sure if the Northland needs two Dick's Sporting goods, but in keeping with tradition, it only makes sense to have one in Clay and one in Platte.

I agree with Dangerboy. Although I wish there wasn't all three shopping areas along one highway (152), but I think that the Northland can support it. It would be awesome if the redeveloped Antioch Mall became a Fairway Shops, Brookside, Prarie Village type of destination.

I agree it wasn't a great mall and I also agree that MD management doesn't have the best track record. I was always mad that the mall was never full. The bottom side by Montgomery Wards always had empty spots. But ZR definately killed Metro. It was more than just a few stores...Lane Bryant, Gap, Exp...
