Re: KC visit in October '05

A few more, from outside the Nelson. The tree leaves picture had a portrait orientation, but I needed a 4:3 aspect ratio for computer screens. (I guess I've already said that.) I filled the background layer with a blend of sky colors, cut around the leaves at the top with a 1-pixel radius, cut aroun...

Re: Where are You From?

I took the original print and scanned it one day, and it was a small print to begin with. I think it's back in one of the old albums now -- which reminds me how I was thinking the other day how I should scan everything in those old albums that go from the start of the 80s on through the nineties wh...

You were warned not to say anything. Now you must be on the lookout for kull's dad.  :D

Re: Where are You From?

LOL you photoshopped me  Actually, I thought your mother would like a 4x6. But I had to blow up an already low dpi (72), so it won't print well. It doesn't even show up on screen all that well. But a suitable-for-printing 300dpi image would have been too large to post. Oh, well. It was fun. G...

Vereee nice pics! Nice color. (I like color.) Good variety. Good weather shots. Hint of a rainbow. A lot of things to contemplate.

Re: A Photo-taking NIGHTMARE!

I discovered by accident that pictures of flowers and faces (well, I guess anything) taken at night with a normal flash come out remarkably good. The subjects do have to be close enough, of course.

Re: Clay Chastain coming back with light rail

i like the fact that it doesn't cast as much shadow as many other types of elevated systems I do, too! I was in Chicago a few times many years ago, and I remember how dark it was during the day because the el (L?) was overhead. The system depicted in your photos lets the sun shine in. Nice differen...

Very nice work. Some of the pictures look like oil paintings, such as the ones with chrome-decked cars. I love the occasional lens flare!

I didn't. I don't know about Schugg. We had to buy new furniture when we moved to Roanoke. The "Barone" headboard was attractive and reasonable, so we bought two. Then we spotted the same design on the show.

Caret question

Question: I've noticed the presence of one or more carets (^) in various posts. I assume it refers to an aforementioned post in place of a standard quote. Is that right?

And how should I have shown this post to be a question? (I should have been able to figure all this out myself. )
