Re: New Chiefs Stadium
What a massive disappointment. The stadium is still gonna look ugly. I cannot believe Buffalo, Nashville, Jacksonville are building these sleek new stadiums and the back to back champion Chiefs are just building a few fan zones and suites. This is so underwhelming. The Royals are the only real hope.

Re: 5th and Main (Northwest Corner)
Isn't this project supposed to be breaking ground like very soon? I think they said March That’s what they want you to think. 3rd and Grand should’ve been well underway by now as well. How is this thing still not going? It's been like shovel ready for 2 years now and the FAA cleared it. Even the cr...

This whole thing is just way too much about the Royals when it needs to be about the Chiefs

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
The Chiefs just won back to back Super Bowls. That will carry this over the line once the campaign is made to be just as much about the Chiefs than it is the Royals. I can't see a universe where the piece of shit 2006 Chiefs/Royals could pass a vote but the Mahomes Chiefs/Royals cannot. I don't thi...

Yeah I don't think they'll throw away downtown just because they weren't able to navigate around a random shooting in 40 days. They're not that dumb.

Why haven’t the Chiefs released renderings or a plan yet if the vote is in a month?

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Waits 20 years to finally get a downtown stadium and KC and this forum is now the leading group against it. Un-fucking-believable.

Re: 1822 Main Redevlopment
Could be totally wrong here, but does adding more units have anything to do with the fact Royals suddenly decided to move like 2 blocks away from this site?

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
How many stadiums in the league can you just walk around the entire exterior and not encounter a highway or some railroad tracks? Like 2?
This will join that list. That’s why I’m excited for this one. Pure density and walkability that’s very rare for these stadiums.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
When completed, it will be the most urban dense feeling stadium in the country outside of Wrigley. I’ve been by Fenway Park. I’d say that’s up there with Wrigley Field. Petco Park isn’t that bad either. Minneapolis might also want a word with that. I’ll grant you Fenway. Petco behind home plate is ...

And Detroit, and Cleveland, and Baltimore, and Toronto, and Pittsburgh, and New York (AL), and Seattle, and... After the White Sox proposal a couple days ago, the Royals would be the only AL Central team without a downtown stadium Are you kidding? Have you ever actually looked at those stadiums or ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
You people are I-N-S-A-N-E if you don't vibe with this. There's *no other city* that has this much density, activity & towers 360 around their given stadium. Maybe Wrigley...this is iconic.
It just makes downtown KC look huge and important to just off a glance.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Oh man, skepticism warranted. What is with the bridge? Kansas City will you never learn to put pedestrians at street level. I get what you mean but in this case I’m good with that bridge because otherwise you’re staring into the abyss of a highway looking East, the bridge covers that. For when you’...
