Mustang Sally’s Deli & Liquor in Claycomo makes pretty good Italian beef sandwiches and paninis.

Re: Zona Rosa maintenance?

In retrospect, this is funny because Steinert & Associates ended up with a somewhat lousy track record in the end including Zona Rosa itself. I was down there today before a movie at AMC Barrywoods (that was only showing at one JOCO theater an equal distance away) and despite there being no par...

That has been planned for awhile but still no work started as far as I know for whatever reason. Sign up for another new one near the corner of Green Hills and 152.

Re: New Restaurants/Other Businesses in Northland

If I was a young person new to the city Northtowne would be the place I would live. It's close to downtown, easy access to Kansas and there is tons of walkability No E. It's just Northtown. It actually has pretty bad access to Kansas compared to downtown. At least for places people tend to go to. B...

Yep. Braum’s definitely won’t. They won’t expand beyond 300 miles from their farm. KC is about 380.

I went for the first time about a week ago. I was extremely impressed. B&B really went all out on this theater. Which makes sense considering they’re headquartered in Liberty. Looking forward to going back for sure.

They’ve been planning to leave for a couple years now. Evidently whoever they’re leasing the space from won’t fix anything. The AC units haven’t worked for two years.

Outlaw Cigars

Was told yesterday that the owner has signed the papers on a building in NKC and will be moving the cigar shop and smoking lounge to an old building somewhere in North Kansas City. Was also informed that there will be a microbrewery inside.

Nope. They were busy doing a lot of work inside for awhile. That chute has been there for awhile but not seeing much activity. Not sure what’s happening. No one seems to know.

Re: OFFICIAL: Zona Rosa (tenants & phase II)

For quite a few of the establishments that have left Zona Rosa the volume of business wasn’t the issue. Unreasonable lease hikes and other squabbles with the management led to their exit. At least according to the folks I’ve talked to. Of course several retailers and restaurants have been closing st...
