Re: East Side Development
Great project. In the heart of the East Side, Benton Blvd is one of the few areas that still has the bones for a revival and could be a locus for reinvestment. They even have planned for 6 plex apartments similar to the classic KC colonnades.

Re: Trees in KC (ongoing)
City manager's response was to my e-mail. I am impressed, but will be more impressed to see if it actually happens. I told him how I tote buckets of water across traffic to the median and have kept a couple 3rd year trees alive while most of the others in the neighborhood are dead.

Re: Trees in KC (ongoing)
No mention of a watering program. Such a waste of effort and money and lack of common sense.

Love the reflection. The river appears deceptively calm.

Re: Troost developments
I had heard that the person behind the Troost Village had died and now family not interested in project. Don't know if this is true or not. Having a charming row of vintage storefronts as relics of the first KC suburban shopping district would amp up the revival happening between Troost and 71.

Still nothing happening with apartments at 27th, nothing at Linwood, and the "Troost Village" blight on the east of the 3100 block.

Would be ideal if ground floor used as commercial space so the public can enjoy the stately lobby

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Easy peasey. Would change a few votes to aye. Any hotel, apartments, offices across the street will most probably (it Is Kansas City) be sitting on a parking podium so there would be still good views into the ball park.

A good example of attractive traffic calming, quite opposite of the visually ugly traffic calming on 31st.

And that last low rise section standing was the psych ward. I was changing residences and wanted to get rid of an aquarium collection so I dumped my fish into the psych ward aquarium. My fish promptly ate the resident fish as patients watched.

State must be more lax about security. The MO court is on Oak just behind T-Mobile and very close to the Star press.

I am older than them and cannot see how someone forties could have good memories of the old terminals. TBH, I do have good memories in the late seventies and early eighties of the terminals. Back before people that flew thought flip flops and jorts were flying attire.
