Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal

I was hoping with the new terminal, the experience will be a little better and it should improve some simply because you won't have arriving and departing passengers on the same buses. But it really doesn't make a lot of sense to make a bus load of people walk across the street AND then wait for el...

Re: Power and Light District Official Tenant List

A cyclist was injured over the weekend as these were placed there with legally parked cars- and while they should've taken the driving lane, they mistook the available distance and ended up going over the handlebars after coming into contact with the barriers. So this happening week 1 after the repa...

Re: Seiden's Furs Appears to Be Closing

Outrageous that the family hasn't sold the property to someone who can properly care for it. Is it possible for the city to imminent domain the property and register it so that it cannot be torn down and fixed back up to something marketable?

Re: Bike Lanes

The cycletrack on 19th has been painted.

Interesting that the city has removed the protected part of the PBL on Grand- in front of the Ambassador Hotel. Bollards/concrete have also never been installed in front of UMB, so drivers still block it mid-block.

Does anyone know what the ground floor layout will be (ie: is it retail on Main and Walnut with apt entrance mid-block and garage entrance on Walnut)?

Re: Bike Lanes

Rode the gilliam/oak cycle track the full length this morning. What a fantastic asset for our city! Lots of people out and so much better than riding in the street. I like it way more than the gravel trails too. I know some people on here say they never see them used but momentum is growing. The mo...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??

The back patio area has potential. Was it a bar before? Seemed a bit like they just opened in an existing space without much work. I went around happy hour last weekend and the tables both inside and outside were pushed around the perimeter which I thought was odd. Is there dancing later in the ope...

Re: Status and future of the River Market area??

Anybody been to Block15 yet? I went last night. I'll give it another chance, but one of the few redeeming qualities for it would be proximity to my condo and drink prices. Seems to have a little bit of an identity crisis- it doesn't know what it wants to be. Sports bar, dance club, or neighborhood ...

No, I believe they were thinking of adding parking protected or a cycletrak to 19th for the two blocks. It will keep going up Oak until 12th to meet up with the one there in the future.

Re: Bike Lanes

The Oak st. extension of the Gillham lanes are now marked up to 18th, so it should be happening soon. They also put up bollards at 19th to keep people from unloading their uHauls at the base of the bridge.

[*]Make 12th street as attractive as possible, if people are going to gravitate west to east better clean up the view along the way. Likewise for people jumping off the streetcar at 12th. Special streetlights, more trees, etc... [*]Drop 12th from 3 to 2 Lanes and add to the sidewalk width This is t...

Surprised this wasn't posted on here- Frank White III is the new interim CEO. At the end of the article it also states that the COO/deputy CEO will more than likely be leaving the agency soon as well. I don't know much about White, so what're the thoughts? https://www.masstransitmag.com/management/a...

Re: New Coaster coming to WOF

I've had nothing better to do over the past day so I dug into some coaster forums and apparently we will be getting "project 50/dollhouse" which is this new wooden coaster opening next year. BUT also in 2024-2026 "project 2.0" will be a new steel coaster that has been in the plan...
