Re: Crown Center: urban disaster, shining star, or in-between
I'm surprised it hasn't been posted on here yet, but Skies will be opening at least seasonally with 'Winter Skies' coming in December.

Re: Hospital Hill activity
CMH had the city install a HAWK signal midway down 22nd that is synced up with the lights on Holmes (I believe- might be Gillham) for improved visibility on employee crossings. I give it a few years/garage expansions and it'll be the next crown center with an elevated pedway over 22nd connecting to ...

Re: Bike Lanes
I don't know what others interactions have been as of late, but the city has actually started routinely street sweeping (at least in River Market), so hopefully that critical maintenance is extended to the cycle track/lanes. Back to bike lanes though - I like how the removable posts have erased most...

Re: Ozark Building / AC Hotel by Marriott at 9th and Grand
I never posted the pictures of it, but at night, on one of the lower floors, facing grand, a model room has already been set up and completed. You can see it from the street, but you can’t get much else in the room besides the curtains or the lamp. I was going to point that out as well. 3rd floor I...

This is a pipe dream from me, but I really wish the West facing areas of the parking podium would be apartments with full-length patios. Fantastic views of Main as well as the theater... Maybe one day.

Agreed that it was a fantastic weekend downtown with plenty to do. For the Chiefs watch parties I just wish they would open up one of the bars upstairs or put a temp stand up there so you don't have to wait 30+ minutes to get a drink in the crowd down below.

Travel nursing company moving in June 1, 2023 https://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2022/09/15/grand-place-next-move-kc-star-office-lease.html So what is this exactly? The front end of a company that books nurses to go out and fill roles around the country? Is it new to the KC area? Exactly. ...

What're the chances someone could convince Cordish to replicate the murals that are on the now covered buildings onto the current white fins covering the garage(s)? I'd even be happy if they just applied it to one side of the fins so that it could only be viewed when looking West, etc..

Does anyone know why they're repaving Main over the next few weeks? I've been quite happy with which roads were repaved this year so far, but this one seems like a head scratcher since it's generally in fantastic shape. Also good to hear that they're tackling some more trouble spots with illegal par...

Ahh fingers crossed it happens. Any idea why they no longer use the metal posts and just use these orange barricades? I'm sure it took much more effort to place and remove the metal posts, but they at least looked good (and still had room for cyclists to make it by). It's an odd thing. T-Mobile own...

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
I was hoping with the new terminal, the experience will be a little better and it should improve some simply because you won't have arriving and departing passengers on the same buses. But it really doesn't make a lot of sense to make a bus load of people walk across the street AND then wait for el...

A cyclist was injured over the weekend as these were placed there with legally parked cars- and while they should've taken the driving lane, they mistook the available distance and ended up going over the handlebars after coming into contact with the barriers. So this happening week 1 after the rep...
