Re: Power & Light District Dress Code
I was at Lucky Strike tonight and security approached two older white men and asked them to take of their hats. One was wearing that old school paperboy hat that my grandpa wears and the other was a carribean style wicker Tommy Bahama type POS. Nice to see it being enforced universaly I guess it...

Re: Hotel at Sports Complex will get $40M makeover
yeah, but for some reason i dont think this hotel is part of the starwood brand. I thought it was a franchisee. as, it has been 3 different hotels in 5 years, that to me screams franchise. but perhaps i am wrong here?? I'd say its a franchise. Another thing I've noticed is that the promotional fly...

Re: Hotel at Sports Complex will get $40M makeover
I had no idea about this water park until I talked to a friend of mine that applied with the Sheraton to do marketing for it. The official website for the water park is: http://www.cocokeywaterresort.com/index.php?/KansasCity/index/ I haven't had much time to talk to her about details, but I should...

I'm pretty excited to see this myself! Those are some pictures you don't see too often on here.supastudio wrote: Does anybody have pix of KC when it was crap? Like when Union Station was abandoned and the roof was leaking or when Bartle Hall wasn't over the Loop.

Re: Power & Light District Dress Code
I didn't want to get involved in this discussion. But its just ridiculous. I've been to plenty of bars in my lifetime, and a large chunk of them have dress codes. Not saying its right or wrong, but its a business decision and I think they should have a say in the customers they want in their said...

Re: Spark!
Strictly my opinion but I think "Spark" is a horrible name. No basis really, I just don't like it. Anyone else agree? I wouldn't say the name is horrible, but it does leave a lot to be desired. Whats the reason for the name Spark anyways? Is P&L suppose to be the "spark"...

Just a quick correction. The T-Bones aren't a minor league team, they're an independent professional baseball team.

Walker was actually suppose to be a perimeter guy for us this year...never really developed though. Wish the shot would come back for him though!Maitre D wrote: He should stop firing 25 footers though, b/c that crap won't be tolerated in the League.

I'm not finding any new information on this, but there was an article in the Star about this in late November.

Re: Big XII Basketball
Where do most mock drafts put him...solid first round? According to nbadraft.net, he isn't even projected to go in the first or second round. Not sure how legit the site is though. I've heard he was projected late 1st, early 2nd as well, but that may have just been other K-State fans talking...

Re: Big XII Basketball
Speaking of top Big 12 players next year, I've been noticing more and more talk about how Walker should stay. Of course media doesn't have the final say, and I'm sure its wishful thinking, but if Bill Walker does actually stay, I could see him being the Big 12 Player of the Year.

Re: OFFICIAL: The Falls (Bass Pro development)
I'm curious how bad all of these Bass Pro expansions have hurt the original flagship store in Springfield, MO. I can remember as a kid going on family trips down there, and really can't remember anything else about that town. Can't imagine it still being a tourist destination like it was in those ...

I love the Royals, but its pretty sad that when I think of the last couple years, the highlight is sweeping the Yanks. But what a way to start a season if its done this year! Yanks are down.

Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since we play the Yuckees for our Home Opener, does that mean less blue and more pin stripes in the stands? Or, still a lot blue since it is the Home Opener? The crowd better be shades of blue and powder blue! I wish I knew why Yankees have such a fanbase everywhere. I understand and love baseba...
