Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC
It also suggests how we really aren't generating a return on the masses of infrastructure required to get people out of the city. The value is in the core. What do you mean "get people out of the city". I thought the idea of all this was to attempt to attract people to live in the urban c...

Re: Poll: Does the Plaza need a drastic change, some change or on the right path?
Lived here 28 years. The Plaza has gone from a ultra pedestrian friendly area with no traffic lights, imagine that.. to a automobile and noise polluted mess.
Maybe it is time to slow down just a little bit and start doing a little damage control?

Re: OFFICIAL - Waddell & Reed - 14th & Baltimore

Wondering if WR had approved something and then backed up when the drawings were not received favorably. ^Agreed. This has all the marks of something fairly far along that they pulled after how things h...

Blighted Midtown
Any comments, statements, wisdom or enlightenment on this deal? Is midtown Kansas City ‘blighted’? Developers seeking tax breaks are trying to convince the city it is. https://www.thepitchkc.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Screen-Shot-2019-12-17-at-4.51.28-PM.png https://www.thepitchkc.com/is-midtown...

Re: 4711 Belleview
I'm pretty sure that WPNA is not against development on the Madison/Bellvieu corridor as long as it considers traffic flow, etc. Most folks I know have been supportive of higher/better uses along that stretch. Why even worry about that at this point. It's out of their control. You can experience al...

Re: Property Tax Assessments 2019
A Missouri legislative committee has proposed a series of reforms to the state’s property tax system in response to this year’s reassessment process, where thousands of homeowners who saw their values spike filed a record number of appeals with Jackson County. The recommendations won’t help taxpayer...
