Re: Downtown tower construction boom in 2020?
I think a significant item to really focus on to continue a boom line this is we truly need to lock down a large company with a tower, sure the W&R tower will be a big deal, as well as strata, but if we could get a committed customer that wants a large scale class A tower downtown that would con...

Re: World Cup 2026 at Arrowhead?
I think the free bus initiative will be incredibly beneficial for our chances when it comes to the transit aspect. I think with us having a fair bit of time to prove it being feasible will also be helpful to our chances, will it be enough to win the slot though is the real question..

Re: Union Station
Thinking long term, I think 2 Pershing needs to be demolished in whole or part so Union Station's northernmost platform can be reopened. It's ridiculous that such a huge train station has to relegate its Amtrak platform outside, and I don't see that changing unless something major happens. Also, 2 ...

How close are they to beginning any work on the expansion? Is there a timeline on it or are they waiting for this years rounds of possible federal funding?

Re: Poll: Does the Plaza need a drastic change, some change or on the right path?
Plaza ownership is convinced the streetcar will just consume all of their free parking and provide no benefit. Seriously. They’ve got to be kidding, right Dave? I mean there’s literally a huge amount of evidence to point to the contrary in the starter line. The economic boom that the SC will have w...

Re: We are getting a new airport!!!
I’m so absolutely disappointed with the parking structure of this airport. Not only does it not provide safe passageways, either over, or under the roadways, but it absolutely dwarfs the terminal building and leads to a claustrophobic valley between the two structures. I don’t understand why they co...

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar
The stats are increasingly going up YOY. Definitely refreshing to see that the Streetcar is starting to drift from novelty to viable transit. On another note, I saw some rendering/technical plans on Twitter, but nothing in there mentioned the option for the maintenance facility, anyone have any info...

Re: OFFICIAL - Strata (H&R Block's 2nd Tower)
An opinion: I would not specify a building atop a parking structure. ..Too vivid recollections of the 1993 WTC bombing and other parking structure fires. ..But (pride) height and maximization of footprint drives practice. I’d actually argue that this could be a driving factor to force utilization o...

Re: Next Mayor 2019
Do we feel that the interim city manager that was just announced will be made permanent? I know that a search committee has been put in place, but that doesn’t mean they will not make the interim permanent. Personally, I’ll be disappointed if they do a national search and end up with someone from K...

Hard Rock's in general are garbage minus Vegas and Cancun. I have never been impressed with the food or decor. Surprisingly the one in Venice was quite an enjoyable experience, obviously featured a drastically different menu from most North American locations. All together though I was impressed wi...

Mahaffie circle improvement project Olathe
So from my understanding this project is going to extend Church street from its intersection with old 56 underneath I-35 and adjacent to the RR tracks to link up with S Mahaffie Circle that currently terminates at the NW end of the Garmin footprint. I guess the idea is to give more access to Garmin...
