Re: Lions Choice

I still have never seen one anywhere. If they ever choose to come to KC, maybe I'll give one a shot. Ha, are you saying you aren't driving as far east as you can go in Independence or way down south of 435 in OPKS for fast food? Maybe you are waiting for the new location in Liberty to finally open ...

Re: Lions Choice

I think they chose bad locations, but I also don't think roast beef sandwiches drive massive business. There are two Arby's close to where I am, but neither seems to be busy. Not sure how they stay in business either. I ate once at Lions Choice and it was okay, nothing special IMO. Doubt I am their ...

Re: KC's Big 5 needs for 2020s

If it increases ridership by 75% in KC, thereby reducing pollution, congestion, etc and the trade-off is increased upkeep, the need for KCPD enforcement, video recording on buses, etc - it is still a win IMO

Re: KC's Big 5 needs for 2020s

Allowing for tiny homes and small lot infill will help ease this as well. East Side with construction of 1000s of inexpensive prefab and scalable homes. Think the modern equivalent of Sears homes in mass scale. 3BR,2B that would be functional for any family structure and limited choice on style bes...

I thought you meant in 2004 but you meant today. I had no idea. KC’s oldest continuously operating movie theater since 1916. I wonder when was the last time the seats were replaced?

Jerry Medlin owned a percentage of the Strand in the 1970s with Charles Setter. Eventually, Setter sold the Strand to Snow. Previously, Setter and Medlin owned the Astro, a porno house inside Union Station. Deep Throat screened there when it was released. https://kansascityarchives.com/2019/04/10/t...
