Re: NE Corner of 14th & Wyandotte (300 unit apartment)
TIF hearing keeps getting pushed back on a monthly basis. Now scheduled for November, but it was also scheduled for September, and then Ocotober, and has been pushed back each time. I'm hopeful this project has legs, as a non-Cordish residential high rise will be a fantastic addition--although resi...

If you’re going to Cosentinos for breakfast when Meshuggah is right there, then you only have yourself to blame LOVE Meshuggah!! But if they have non-bagel, non-carb breakfast options then they need to get the word out. There's not even a bagel with egg option. First, Meshuggah is solid. But agree,...

Re: Bike Lanes
While I'm talking pet peeves about the Gilliam Cycle track, do you have to jog/walk in the cycle track? There are two or three sidewalks that run the entire length of the track where you will be safe. And we will both be safer when I'm passing you. I can appreciate this, but I tend to think of this...

Re: Bike Lanes
Rode part of that Sunday. Very nice. Did you happen to ride through the intersection with 45th Street at the NE corner of the Nelson? I'm curious how that looks/is working given the slip lane. Originally the design closed the slip lane and converted the intersection to a 4 way stop but I'm hearing ...

If connecting two of the most powerful cities in the country, with a train technology that has existed for 50+ years in the rest of the world, is considered a “boondoggle”, then I don’t think there’s anything on earth that can save this accursed country at this point The project itself is a fantast...

Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes I wonder if the new shorter games, which generally I like, might actually create a disincentive to attend games at a distant stadium like Kauffman. I'm stretching a little, but think about it: Now I'm paying $25 or whatever to park, paying $XX for a ticket but the event is over faster. On ...

But how tall will the parking podium be?! /s Hopefully it's a massive Texas donut or stacking the parking on McGee for both projects could work – shared parking agreement please. Agreed. Is a 20 story building w/ a 10 story podium really a 20 story building? #philosophical Kidding aside though, you...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
The article also said Chiefs were eyeing Buffalo's $1.6 bil & Nashville's $2.1 bil stadiums as comps...they do realize they're going to have to do a hella lot more than just a "renovation" to get to that, right? I still contend it seems nonsensical how low the Chiefs are aiming here g...

700 units on that block? You could build out that block with that many units in buildings under 25 stories, but I hope they build a 30 story plus tower there. The east side of downtown really needs a modern skyline changing tower. Obviously would love a tower, but mostly just want the density. What...

Abject silliness. Also the NKC site plan in the article re-triggered me as re: the lake. Who wouldn't want to take a nice walk around a lake adjacent to I-29.

Would love to see a neighborhood with brownstone style townhomes, which would not considered condos & have no amenities & crazy HOA’s. Quality Hill is setup like this although almost all rentals. Perhaps a change there where possible & new units/neighborhood could pop up in Paseo West. ...
