Not bad, 9 in a row for Obama!  Lets hope the exit polls aren't off.

Not as obnoxious, I think tosspot captured it pretty well!  Really, if Big Sky Bar is right behind it, I don't think its that bad.  Not sure if thats the case though.

Re: Big 12 Football

More bad news on the coaching front for KSU.  It appears the linebacker coach, Matt Wallerstedt is leaving KSU.  This is particularly bad, considering he is from Manhattan and played for KSU.  Gotta wonder how bad Prince is to work for.  Apparently a good friend of Wallerstedt asked him about leavin...

Re: Sonics on their way out of Seattle?

I tried to find a figure for the national audience for NFL/MLB/NBA/NHL.  I couldn't find anything too good, but I think this link gives a pretty good idea of each sport's popularity.  It looks like NBA is inferior to MLB and NFL if you go by the # of visits to each sports site. http://blog.compete.c...

Keep in mind, of all places, Garth Brooks did play NINE shows at the Sprint Center post-retirement.  That should say something about the KC area and their love of country music!

If you look to the right of the cowboy sitting down, it definitely looks like a place to put up a sign for big sky.  There are even pre-drilled holes in the sheet metal or whatever its made out of.

Big Sky is listed as a "new concept country bar", but I don't believe its even on that block, so rule that one out.

Wow, that casino is awesome!  Glad you put that up, I got caught in an ice storm driving down I-35 in December, if it wasn't for that huge cowboy sign I would have ended up driving all the way home in the storm instead of spending all my money at a crappy casino!

Re: Sonics on their way out of Seattle?

I'm probably biased, since I'd love to see a team in KC, but I just don't see OKC having any effect on how KC looks to Stern or anyother NBA officials.  I have no idea on numbers of NBA fans compared to MLB or NFL, but KC does just fine with teams in St.Louis, which isn't even the case with the NBA....

Re: Sonics on their way out of Seattle?

How can KC "prove" it's an NBA city without an NBA team here? What I was implying is that I don't see OKC having an effect on the market for an NBA team in KC.  Its impossible to prove we're an NBA city before they've moved here, I know. If a team did fail here, it wouldn't be because of ...

Re: Sonics on their way out of Seattle?

Maybe.  I hope you are right.  Part of me, however, thinks once a team lands in OKC, it will be unlikely for another team to be relocated so close and to a relatively small market.  I'm not sure that'd be the case.  If you look at both baseball and football, it seems the region around both the Roya...

Either way, it means we are one relocation closer to an NBA team.

Re: Sonics on their way out of Seattle?

Just read a nice article on Stern today, supposeably he is the hardest working commissioner in the big 3 sports.  I'm not a huge NBA fan, I prefer MLB or NCAA BB/FB but I'd love to see a team in KC!  I could support that!

Re: Sonics on their way out of Seattle?

I think this looks pretty promising in terms of Sonics leaving Seattle, although I just saw it mentioned on PTI, and it was called a publicity stunt.  Guess we'll have to wait and see. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/allstar2008/news/story?id=3249625 Btw, sorry for posting on two boards with the same ...

This probably shouldn't be discussed in the Wallstreet Tower section, but what are the current fines in KC for not picking up after your dog?  Or are there any in place?
