Re: Midtown Area Apartment Boom

Speaking of Lenexa, I had to spend some time there a couple days ago. It is wild the amount of development and cranes out there.

The development process in KCMO is broken and people in the city need to wake up to just how much money is going out to JoCo greenfield development.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

Clay and Platte combined are half the size of Jackson. A Royals only tax would only need to be half the amount since the Chiefs are not involved. So the same 3/8 tax should raise about the same amount for the Royals. However, I think they can do it with state only money in the NKC site. It will be ...

Odds they leave the name of the stadium AND the team when they leave the state of MO?

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

I feel so disconnected from the comments I'm reading here. The general consensus among people in my life was that this was a disastrous campaign. It was late and felt rushed on the royals side. They didn't get community buy in ahead of time, and the behind the scene machinations left questions. It ...

I've been really fascinated about this exact subject recently. If anyone knows more information please PM me. Below is a map with the sections of land cleared for these projects and where in the city they were. As you can see, most of the area cleared is still under built today https://i.ibb.co/Bq6P...

Re: Is KC Tenants destroying the development future of downtown KCMO?

Anecdotally my family members were talking about KC Tenants on Easter Sunday. This stadium issue has helped them become part of the conversation even for those that aren’t particularly plugged in to these things.

62 degrees this Friday… I’d say May might be bigger

^^So she lives in Mission Woods. Not much different. My remaining comments are the same. Mission Woods is probably the most exclusive "town" in the metro btw. And nobody knows it's there, tucked into the Mission Hills Country Club. LOLOL Famously the town is not a fan of the MHCC pickleba...

What I’ve been told is that the airport nixed decorative lights because they didn’t want anyone thinking the bridge was a runway Maybe there’s some kinetic sculpture capturing the wind that could make the bridge more attractive? Oh man, I was thinking the bridge would have at least the minimal ligh...

It's a problem when trying to serve two masters in the same vote but nobody, not even the owners, can claim this was well done. Sure they will try and blame the politics of it but that's a part of anytime you are asking for public money, that's not a valid excuse. 100%. Have spoken with 3 minority ...

The Women’s Cup will be played at the Current Stadium this summer. Exciting seeing these announcements continue Kansas City’s CPKC Stadium and Louisville’s Lynn Family Stadium will serve as cohosts for this year’s events, which will feature two four-team tournaments this summer. The full TWC USA fie...

I wish I could see exit polling from the vote thus far. Considering that the Royals and the Chiefs kicked in a combined $1 million dollars Friday towards the Vote Yes campaign, I would imagine that internal polling is showing the results closer than they were expecting https://www.kshb.com/news/loca...

We *should* (based on what the neighborhood association has been told) see construction begin on this in a month or two. While there hasn't been any permit activity in a while, the Compass project has recently-updated plans for platting . Was getting nervous with the hay being thrown down on the de...

I do believe we need more new build residential that’s not high rise, luxury type housing This, though, I am with you 100%.
