JetBlue coming to KCI
Well here is some good news, despite the JetBlue article. Midwest Airlines announced plans to serve KC from John Wayne Airport in Orange County, CA. The service will be twice a day starting Oct. 1.

Well, I hate to burst the bubble on JetBlue but I am going to have too. Contrary to the article in the business journal, they are not having any negotiations with KCI at this time. We have not been on their radar screen since the beginning, that may change in the near future though. As of right now ...

Great new website up for KCI. www.iflykansascity.com. Check it out it has all sorts of info about the airport and up to date arrivals and departures. Really cool site. Finally we are up to date on our website.

True, If United goes under the city of Denver will be scrambling to find a carrier to fill the void. DIA was built to be an airport serving as a hub. This will be very interesting to see how things pan out. KCI on the other hand will never have to worry about that problem. Not one airline dominates ...

Showing their commitment to KC, Midwest Express intends to offer two nonstops to San Franciso. This will fill the void left by Vanguard as well as pick up a new nonstop destination that we lacked service to before. Great news.

There were plans to add a fourth terminal at one time, however KCI had a hard time attracting an airline to commit to a hub there. I dont see the fourth terminal happening anytime to soon, we have trouble enough trying to fill three terminals.

Yes midwest express is looking to expand their presence as they have already added service to austin as well as seasonal service to ft. myers. Look for them to expand soon, also look for maybe airtran to add NYC service
